With an upcoming trip to Bodrum in Turkey, I have been on the lookout for some nice holiday clothes, including some comfortable shoes.
Not wanting to wear old lady sandals, I have opted for a posh/fancy version of my all time favorite Toms.
I love Toms shoes, not because of the ‘ive just bought a child in Africa a pair of shoes’ but becuase they are the most comfortable shoes I have ever owned. The whole ‘One for One’ ethos is all well and good, however im bombarded with charity bumf at work. Quite frankly, i’m sick of being made to feel bad for not being more charitable.
The best thing about these shoes, is that they tend to mould to your feet. Ive got big dinner plate feet, so long, thin shoes are a no-go for me. Toms tend to shape themselves to your specific foot shape after a few wears.
I think these shoes can be worn as a casual daytime thing, or be dressed up for a night out. I will definitely be wearing these in Bodrum, as the streets are all cobbled, and have very tall pavements. Last thing I want is to go arse over tit and end up in a Turkish hospital with a broken foot.
Im not too sure about the value for money aspect, as they are only canvas slip on shoes – however the comfort factor wins me over every time.
