Review :: Ployer – Momo9 7” Android 4.0 tablet review

A bit of a different post today – have a guest post from the one and only Keefey. Ive been badgering him to do a review of his new gadget. After much whinging, crying and pleading, I finally got him in front of the keyboard last night and he’s done a right good’n for me.
If you want to see the latest thing I have been widowed for then read on. If you’re more interested in cakes and make up then this is the wrong post for you, sozzles.

Ployer Momo9 7” tablet review

The iPad yet again has attracted millions of people to the latest coolest tech, and yes if you buy one you can live the dream of flicking through facebook whilst sipping your frocamochalattechino, at whichever coffee shop is now cool.

Now, I don’t have £400 or however much a ipad7/galaxy tab is, but I did fancy something to use facebook/email/angrybirds (what have I become??) that wasn’t straining my eyes ala smartphones.
I saw this 7” tablet on amazon for around £70 and thought I’d give it a go.

It’s great for checking your usual internetty stuff, but is also great for watching a film or looking through your photos. It uses android 4.0, has 8 gb internal memory, a rubbish front camera that competes with 10 year old camera phones rather well.

You have to buy this expecting a £70 tablet, not something to rival the ipad. Take it to starnero or wherever and you may get laughed out of the shop, but that shouldn’t bother you.
The size is good, not too big and not too small, would fit in a hefty pocket if you have such well made coats. Mind you I primarily use it when sitting on the couch looking on facebook about how interesting or depressing my friends lives are, or at work when I need some me time at work to laugh at cats on youtube, it handles both extremely well.

You will need a memory card if you plan on watching films or putting your music collection on, but they are cheap. A soft case also keeps it safe and warm at night.

So if you don’t want to turn into THAT person but fancy a jack of all trades tablet, you can’t wrong really with the ployer. Now if you excuse me, I must get back to writing my blog at my local coffee house with the rest of the hipster d*ckheads.

  1. Does the Ployer 7″ NATPC M009S Tablet have a inbuilt microphone?

      Yes it does!
      It’s quite good quality for an in-built mic.
      Would be fine for Skype if you were in a quiet area :)

  2. I guess you have to expect to get what you paid for, I bought a similar cheap tablet a while back and it is still sitting in the box, the WiFi is very poor, single drops etc. I will stear clear of cheap and cheerful as there is no cheer in spending £70 quid and having a door jam.

  5. I bought a Ployer MOMO11 Speed Dual Core RK3066 1.6GHz Dual Camera Bluetooth WIFI HDMI 1080P 16GB, direct from the website of Ployer-tablet.com as it was quicker than waiting through other websites. Within 5 months it stopped receiving any charge, I contacted the company (20 emails in all) they did not respond in a helpful way at all, I have now taken further action through my bank. In my opinion, buy a different tablet.
